Privacy Policy
Last updated: · Effective:
This Privacy Policy describes how the Chroma Rush mobile game (the "App"), published via the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, handles information about you. It applies to the App only — not to any other products or websites.
The short version: Chroma Rush does not ask for your name, email, or account. We do not run our own servers that collect data about you. The only data flows that leave your device are (1) advertising requests made by Google AdMob if you are shown interstitial ads, and (2) purchase processing by the Google Play or Apple App Store if you buy the "Remove Ads" product.
1. Information Collected Automatically
When the App is open and you have not purchased "Remove Ads", we display interstitial advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. AdMob collects certain information directly from your device to serve, measure, and cap the frequency of ads. This typically includes:
- Your mobile advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / iOS IDFA, where available and permitted).
- Technical device information: device model, operating system and version, language, time zone, screen size, and the App's version.
- Network information: IP address and approximate, coarse location inferred from it.
- Interaction data with the ad itself (impressions, clicks).
Google is an independent controller of this data for its own ad-serving and measurement purposes. Their handling is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and, for publishers using AdMob, the AdMob data-handling documentation.
2. Information You Provide
The App does not ask you to create an account or provide personal details. The only information you provide is indirect, through the App stores:
- In-app purchases. If you choose to buy the "Remove Ads" product, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). Those platforms receive your payment details directly — we never see your credit card number, billing address, or Google/Apple account identifiers. We only receive a confirmation that the purchase succeeded.
3. On-Device Storage
Chroma Rush stores a small amount of data locally on your device using the operating system's standard preferences storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party. It is erased when you uninstall the App. It includes:
- Your high scores, best streak, and lifetime match-tier counts.
- Unlockable items you have earned (e.g. gold trail, prism particle).
- Audio settings (music on/off, master volume).
- A flag indicating whether you have purchased "Remove Ads", so the App can skip ad loading on subsequent launches.
4. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
- We do not require or allow you to sign in.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise GPS location.
- We do not run our own analytics SDK or crash-reporting SDK. Basic crash counts attributed to the App may appear to us in the aggregate through the Google Play and App Store consoles — those are generated by the stores, not by us.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.
5. Consent for Ads (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to show a consent form on first launch. You can choose whether to receive personalized ads or non-personalized ads. Your choice is stored by the UMP SDK and respected on subsequent launches. You can change your choice at any time from the App's settings, where available.
6. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
On iOS 14.5 and later, the App displays Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before Google AdMob is initialized. You may allow or deny tracking across apps. If you deny, AdMob will serve only non-personalized ads. Your choice can be changed any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
7. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy practices, which we encourage you to review.
- Google AdMob — serves interstitial ads. How Google uses advertising data.
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — collects and stores your ad consent choice for EEA/UK/Swiss users.
- Google Play Billing (Android) / Apple App Store (iOS) — processes in-app purchases. Google Privacy Policy · Apple Privacy Policy.
8. Your Rights
Because we do not hold personal data about you on our own servers, many data-subject requests (access, correction, deletion of data we hold) are not applicable. Where the data is held by Google or Apple, requests should be made directly to them.
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights against Google (as controller of advertising data):
- EEA / UK (GDPR, UK GDPR): rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
- All users: the ability to reset or delete your mobile advertising identifier from your device settings at any time, which limits AdMob's ability to build a profile tied to your device.
You can also delete all data Chroma Rush stores about you simply by uninstalling the App.
9. Children's Privacy
Chroma Rush is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through the App's ad network, please contact us at support@chroma-rush.com and we will work with our partners to remove it.
10. Data Retention
On-device data is retained until you uninstall the App or clear its storage. Advertising identifiers and ad-interaction data are retained by Google under its own retention schedule.
11. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information we do handle. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. International Transfers
Data handled by Google AdMob, Google Play Billing, and the Apple App Store may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. Those services apply their own safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
13. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where required by law, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use of the App after the effective date of a revised policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
